I am currently a postdoctoral fellow in Psychology at University of Michigan with a focus on the evolution of leadership. I am a biological anthropologist by training, specifically in nonhuman primate feeding ecology and social behavior. I conducted my doctoral dissertation on female redtail monkey (Cercopithecus ascanius) nutritional strategy and social nutrition, i.e., how social dynamics with conspecifics and with sympatric monkey species affect nutritional intake and balance. Through previous postdoctoral work at Carnegie Mellon and UC Berkeley, I incorporated comparative and cognitive questions into my research.
